I have a 1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE that is my daily driver. Right now it is bone stock. I want to do some modifications before I race it and I wanted to know what class that would put me in.

My future parts list:

I plan to keep the motor stock except for a Bönez Street Exhaust System (http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/saexhaust.html)and a K&N drop in filter.

The car does have a full interior and all emisions,

Almost certainly CSP. The "almost" is is simply due to ignorance about the specifics of the parts listed and how they attach.

For example - camber plates are fine in *SP, but you can't enlarge the center hole - only drill new holes for mounting.

Add some 13x10" wheels and Hoosier 255s, you'll have a reasonably competitive CSP car.

Maybe ST-whatever, if you stick with street tires?

CSP is almost certain; STU or whatever might be OK, but I'd have to read more.

Don't lets mods hold you up, bring it out and have fun! You can still register for this weekend.
Keep in mind that, after "seat time", tires are the biggest upgrade you can make.

The camber plates I'm looking at don't enlarge the center hole and leave the existing mounting holes.

Because my car is a GSL-SE, it uses larger brakes than the other model first gen RX-7s I was told can't fit 13" wheels. Stock is 14". I will probably stick with street tires. I ran Sumitomo HTR 200 on the street on my other rx-7 and was very happy with them so I will probably run the same on this car. Stock size- 205/60R14.

The mounting locations of all the parts is the same as stock. The front coilovers cut the lower spring perch off the stock hub/strut housing and weld a new one in lower. The rear coilovers are not really coilovers but just ride height adjusters since it is a solid rear car with shocks. Everything else is direct replacment parts.

My only worry right now is the struts are the original and are completely dead.

You'll still have a blast. I did my first autocross with (in retrospect) several things wrong with my Protege- dead struts, dead tires, (relatively) terrible driver. Still loved it!
