We have had a great response to our request for people to help us out with our 10/3 Street Survival at DSG. Below is a list of people who have expressed an interest. Please post to this thread if you are still willing and able to help us with this class. If you are not on the list but would like to help us you can post too. We could really use the help.

Arnie will be putting on an instructors training class on Thursday, 30 September from 6:00 to9:00 PM. Dinner at 6:00, training at 7:00. It will be at:

Castle Rock Village Inn
207 Wolfensbarger Rd
Castle Rock, CO 80109

Please try to attend especially if this is your first time to instruct at a TRSS.

Also post here if you will be able to make it to the training class so we will know how many to expect. (Nick already posted on the other list, either will do).

I'm in for instructing, 50/50 for the class. If there is an abundance of instructors, I like to participate in the Susan G. Komen walk for some reason :( . Keeping kids alive is more important, my money can go to Komen either way!

6:00 PM is for those who want to eat dinner. The training will start at 7:00. We'd like as many people as possible to arrive for dinner since we won't have to pay for the room if 10 people order dinner, but it's not at all mandatory.

If you've never instructed before, please please, PLEASE try to make the training. It's not difficult, but much different than performance driving training. If you absolutely can't make the training session and still want to help, we can definitely use your help with event administration.

If you cannot make the training session and the school would be your first time intstructing, can you still instruct or are you relegated to event administration duties only? Jay and I have a babysitter for the school, but getting to a training session on a school night 90-minutes each way from our house is nearly impossible. I've been wanting to instruct for quite a while, thought I had it all squared away this time, but now it looks like there could be a kink in the plans if the training session is mandatory before being allowed to instruct.

The training session is highly recommended but not mandatory. There will be an orientation session during the time the students are in the classroom.

Are you guys in?

Unfortunately, I am going to have to bow out of the training and the course. I have been sick and out of work for four days now. That means I will have to work this weekend instead so I cannot make it. I am glad to see that there will be a better than 1 to 1 ratio regardless.

Sorry everybody.

I am looking good for Sunday but cannot make it to Castle Rock for the training tonight. If there are materials I need they can be emailed to me.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone who was able to make the instructor class last evening. We really appreciate your commitment.

We currently have 12 students and we need at least 12 instructors plus some others to help us outside of the cars.

If you can help us, please come out to DSG by 8:00 AM on Sunday.

THANKS!!!

I'm sorry guys, but I can't be there tomorrow. I know it's short notice but last night it was decided by someone who wasn't me that I have to be in the office supervising my "children" (aka employees) for the day. I will send a private email to Arnie as well.
