We have a Street Survival class scheduled on Oct 3rd at DSG and we are in need of students.

Here is a link to the FAQs http://www.streetsurvival.org/frequently-asked-questions.php

This class will save lives! If you know someone 15 to 20 years old, think about suggesting they attend this class. (Here is a link to the registration page - https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/register.trss/uidEvent/641F15E9-D2D8-3356-A30FEB8F0A9B38D0)

The primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a "hands-on" driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them.

Here is a another link that talks about what the students will be doing during the course - http://www.streetsurvival.org/for-students.php

Starting the final push for late registrants.

Got a question today about when students needed to be there. The web site shows the school runs from 8:30-5:30, so I've been telling them to be there no later than 8:00.

Got another question about whether parent needed to be there in order for the students to get signed in. Wasn't sure how to answer that one beyond ensuring they have a minor waver form. What beyond the consent form is needed from the parents?

I plan to be on-site at 7:00 to help with setup or where needed.

The web site didn't use the times we supplied, so all of the students have been told to be there by 8:30, so that is what we are going with. I think if the instructors are there by 8:00 we should be good.

I'll need to check on if the parent needed to be there when the students sign in.

If the minor kids bring a properly executed minor waiver (2 copies) the parents don't need to be there. There are always one or two minors who show up without a waiver form. Having the parents there makes rectifying the situation easy. You did e-mail the students a minor waiver form and instructions along with a welcome letter, didn't you? The adult students don't need their parents there when they sign in.

BIll said he was going to send out the welcome letters and the minor waivers are downloaded from the registration web site.

I think we have 13 students now. The other thread (http://www.rmsolo.org/forums/showthread.php?t=8976) shows which instructors have verified they will be able to make it.
