Has this car been classified for SOLO II ? I can find the Elise but not the Exige.
Thanks!

We saw one of those out on 285 today, I was very confused until I saw a pic of it.

The Exige is classed in ASP right now. While the car is heavier that the Elise, and otherwise is pretty much the same (except the very high speed downforce, not applicable in Solo), the car is a SS car. I think the SEB was waiting to make sure Lotus didn't pull what they did with the LSD last year, and add a later year factory option (like a supercharger).
I suspect it will go into SS later.

Just wondering, do you actually own an Exige? If so, I can't wait to see that fine piece of machinery out at the track.

It's an Elise with a different body kit. Looks good though.

  it is a wee bit more than just a body kit!

Nope.. just a body kit, other than that it's the same motor and same suspension. The body kit allows downforce above speeds at 100 mph. But unless your going that fast, it doesn't do much of anything. The same exact car though... but heavier because of the body kit additions.
They say they might add a supercharger to fit on the Exige. But I do like the look though.

Looks like the supercharged Lotus Exige (aka 240R) exists, but is produced on a very limited basis and isn't available in America:

Ok the official response from SCCA:
The Exige is not recommended for Stock category classification (June 2006 FasTrack http://www.scca.com/_FileLibrary/File/06-6-fastrack.pdf). I believe one of the main reasons is the low numbers of production.
It has been classed in ASP on the same line as the Elise in the February 2006 Addendum FasTrack (http://www.scca.com/_FileLibrary/File/06-2-fastrack-addendum.pdf).
Hope this helps.
