Hey all,
I'm going though the schedule, and noticed that Summer Event #1 is April 16th. That happens to be Easter Sunday. Is that date correct?

I guess that is Easter, dang. There really aren't any alternatives though for that date though, so it's not going to change. Happy Easter.
If we get into PPIR memorial weekend will change from Sun/Mon to Sat/Sun.
Other than that it's pretty solid yes.

No, no, on TOP of the cones! :D That way, I know which ones to hit, instead of hitting all of them.

heh this does give me some ideas on features
I think that Baysinger should attend and drive the event in a bunny suit. I'm sure you can open up David's sunroof for the ears to stick out :)

Only if Van wears his gorilla suit again.
And the bunny suit is provided.
And it's pink, and makes me look like some kind of demented Easter bunny.

Well this spiraled out of my control pretty quickly... A'ight, you rent it, I wear it, but only if Van wears the gorilla suit again. I'll even pose with anyone's car (for $1 per shot.. heh)

Has anyone heard if the national schedule is finalized yet? I see they've added the national events to the scca site finally, but with no changes at all to the original announcement.
I have to say I'm disappointed that there a lot of conflicts with national and local events, but there's probably only 10 people that this matters to anyways.

Might be the perfect oppurtunity for Smark A Myth and I to make good on our bet to wear kilts to an event.
Actually we were going to wear skirts and enter the ladies class, but common sense prevailed.

Jesse, I had the tentative national schedule when I made the CDR schedule; I avoided conflict with the Tour and Pro dates of the national events closest to our region. What conflicts are you concerned with?
There is a lot of interest in a Topeka divisional, and we tried to predict when it would be scheduled, but I hear we could be off. If so, I'll try to reschedule around that event so that we can try out the new surface in Topeka in advance of Nats.
Thanks.

Peru National tour May 27-28 (with RMSolo #3 and 4)
Milwaukee National tour July 1-2 (with RMSolo #7)
Those are the ones I'm concerned about, but those are kinda far distance-wise so I can understand that. There are a couple other conflicts (Miami Pro 2/25 and Packwood pro 8/12) but I don't think anyone from our region will be going to those.
As for the Kansas MiDiv event, looks like right now its scheduled for 8/12-13 if I'm reading their crazy calendar right:
http://www.midiv.org/Code/Calendar.htm
After looking over the calendar, it looks like every bmwcca event conflicts with national events except 1 or 2. Thanks for taking the schedule into consideration Clay.

Clay'd have to speak to those dates, but I don't think he had much of a choice with dates (WA and all)., but our other solo dates at DIA we were VERY careful about conflicts especially those relatively close.
Regarding the Kansas MiDiv Championship it's 5/6 aug (see the cone), we avoided that weekend too on purpose.

That would be funny. I wore this outfit playing in a friends golf tourney. I didn't do all that bad either. Maybe I should wear kilts more often when golfing. I might have to bust that out again if Grant and Smark do it.

No comment on the apparel...
In case anyone hadn't heard yet... the Wendover ProSolo has officially been moved one week earlier to August 19-20 and it will be at the same location as past years.

Thanks for the update. I was hoping they'd change it to Miller Motorsports Park. I guess the facility isn't ready yet?

Actually our Kansas Divisional is tentatively scheduled for Aug 5&6th. I say tentative because they still haven't come to reasonable lot rental for HPT. So....we have the date scheduled....but at this moment, no site to hold it on.
I suspect if HPT doesn't come into reality, that we'd use Forbes as a plan B.

So Jeff, this conflicts with our Series #9 date.
Any chance to reschedule #9 to the old Wendover date? (8/26 or 8/27)

Yes, I JUST Found out about it. We might move that event to Sept 2nd.

Just my vote but I would vote no on a move to the 2nd since Labor Day is typically a get out of town weekend for most folks.

Here's a snippet I gleaned from the Utah Region Forum...
We tried to move the event to Miller Motorsports Park but, the paddock area is just too narrow to lay out mirrored courses safely.
After discusing the paddock size problems with Cindy and Howard of the Pro Solo office, it was decided to pass on the site for this year. Perhaps after we use it, and Cindy and Howard tour the site when they come out for the pro this summer, 2007 might be a possibility

It's not apparent that our RMSS#8 conflicts with any event, as we might have concluded from Jesse Caudill's Message #14, where he said
"As for the Kansas MiDiv event, looks like right now its scheduled for 8/12-13 if I'm reading their crazy calendar right: http://www.midiv.org/Code/Calendar.htm"
As Greg Reno said, the Topeka Divisional Solo is tentatively scheduled for August 5-6, not Aug. 12-13. Hopefully Kansas Region will be successful in securing the HTP autocross pad that weekend for less than astronomical RaceTrack rental prices. :)
(Note: Yes, Grant, the threads were a little crossed--hope this clarifies.)

Bob,
I think you might have missed Bob Tunnell's post stating that the Wendover Pro has been moved to Aug 18, 19, 20.
