Anyone recomendations for tire pressures for a '97 Miata running 185/60/14 Dunlop Star Specs?

Also is air (for tires) generally avalible at the autocross or should I bring my car powered little compressor thats right at home filling up bike tires?

I run around 36f/32r on 205/50-15 StarSpecs, 15x7.5 wheels on my 2500?lb ST Civic.

I don't know how that translates into a lighter RWD Miata in your tire size, but 35psi isn't a bad starting point. Watch for rollover, you can mark the shoulders with a grease pencil or shoe polish.

There is no air available on-site except for any in the Springs that Tire World sponsors; not sure if they do that anymore(?). So..
Cheap air compressors work but are loud and slow, air tanks are bulky and more expensive, or planning ahead and inflating tires at your local free gas station air pump is an option. (75th and Arapahoe in Boulder is great)

And a decent bicycle floor pump is a workable, portable, worst-case scenario option. It doesn't take as long to bring a tire up 4-5 psi as you'd think (although if you're as out of shape as me, you'll definitely get out of breath or feel some muscle burn doing so).

Haha... Yeah I use a bike pump. After seeing how long some of those cigarette lighter compressors can take to fill up a tire, the pump seems not so bad.

What I do is keep my tire pressures 'in range' of where i want them to be, and then I only need to use the pump for 2-3 psi max. It's not bad.

As far as your pressures, I'm sure someone runs a similar setup to you and can give you more info, but start with 35 and adjust accordingly based off of rollover and how the car feels underneath you.
