An acquaintance just evicted his tenant who left behind two Ford Pintos. It seems they were being prepared as race cars. I do not have much info, but the cars are FREE!

Car One may have a rollbar or rollcage in it.
Car Two has no engine.

If interested, please call Henry at 303-547-6071. He wants these cars gone asap and will probably have them junked on Monday, 1/10.

I have no more info on the cars. They are at 1228 Meadow in Longmont, in the backyard. The house is vacant. From the intersection of Main Street and Mountain View, go east on Mt. View to Meadow, before the railroad tracks. 1228 Meadow.

I recall these cars running FP in SCCA, and they may be vintage-eligible, too. The price is right!

Feel welcome to pass this along...

Perhaps these could be used for the first "Burning-car" festival in Denver. We fill them up with gas, and start them up. Have a select handful of people to throw rocks at the rear of the car. First one to blow on up ..wins!

Mr. Pickles -

I admire your optimism...

In your post, you referred to two Ford Pintos that have been sitting for an unknown amount of time.

You wrote "...and we start them up..."

THAT is optimism!

If I found a clean original early Pinto I often thought it'd make a good FSP car. The Early cars 71-73 were the lightest with some 71's being under 1800lbs. Of course with update backdate the 1600 motor (formula ford motor) can be swapped for the 2.0L motor (formula continental) or even the 2300 from the later cars (eventualy the base for the T-bird super coupe and ranger 2.3L) The pinto double A-arm front suspension is clumsy but workable and with the SP additon of a panhard bar etc. leaf springs are even workable. Seriously I wanted to build one but decent cars that are complete and original enough to turn into an SP car are few and far between. I still keep looking though...
