Hank, after the first event, how will the handicap be calculated?

(I've got a nearly-finished automated excel spreadsheet that I made at AFTER work today)
Believe me, I don't do this on my slide rule, I use a spreadsheet with a few logical formulas to
make it work.
It is a running average of the last three scores. Let me give you a couple
of examples.

Driver: Hank Derr

Last years Average 900 pts
Starting HC for 1st event 1000-900 = 100 pts

If Hank scores a 921 on event #1, drivers pts towards Team Event #1 is
921 + 100 = 1021 team pts.

If Hank drives Event #2 his handicap for #2 is calculated as
New running average
900 + 900 + 921 = 2721/3 = 907

new handicap
1000- 907 = 93 pts

Hank scores a 1000 :D on event #2 so his team pts for #2 are
1000 + 93 = 1093 team pts.

Hank is so excited about the FTOD, he misses the next three events, and
drives event number #6. His handicap for #6 is
New running average calculated using his last 3 scores,
900 + 921 + 1000 = 2821/3 = 940
Handicap is 1000-940 = 60 pts

Hank scores an 800 on event #6 so his team points are

800 + 60 = 860 to the team total. :(

Yup. I knew it was a running three, I just wasn't sure where you were gonna get your first scores from if you were pulling a season average (I seem to remember last year was just the last three events of the year before, although I'm likely mistaken)
