I have read everything over several times and I'm still unsure what class. I am looking to run my first Solo event in my 04 Subaru Sti. I have run open lapping and a few events at Second Creek, High Plains, and State Patrol but never SCCA Solo. Mods are:
-air intake
-turbo back exhaust with high flow cat
-stock size (225/45/17) street tires on stock wheels
-stock size cross drilled rotors with SS lines
-coilovers
-boost increasing chip I can have in or unistall it

I think without the chip I would be in ST of some sort. Trying to figure this out so I can get a number. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Without the chip you're in STU. With it, I *think* you're in BSP, but I'm no expert on *SP classes.

Great thanks! I'll get a number figured out here. I think if I ran BSP I would get smoked pretty bad even with the chip.

We ALL got smoked our first times out. Be we also ALL had fun no matter what. Come on out and run BSP or you could run SM if you want as well. Either way, you will have a blast. Should you decide you want to continue on then you can start modding your car for a particular class.

Did you sign up for the event this weekend? If not, it's too late to register (unless you contact Clay and beg!). You can still come on out and get ride-alongs if you don't drive.

I am not coming this weekend. I will only be attending Denver area events for now. I observed Time Trials last week at HPR and think I like that. I am going to do the mods I want to my car and then whatever class that puts me in so be it. Been looking at upgrading my coilovers for a better ride and doing a 17x9 inch wheel with a 245 or 255 tire. Obviously mods are just for the fun and driving is the way to improve my times out at the track. I am certain I will have fun no matter what. Thanks for the responses. I may run in BSP, not sure yet.
