Hey, I am new here. I am trying to get into autocross, rallycross, and maybe one run at Bandimere. Randy, Vince Vong, and Hsun Chen have been a great help in getting me started, thanks guys. I look forward to meeting all of you and hoping not to mess up really bad on the courses, haha.

Welcome! And messing up really bad at your first few events is part of the fun! Keeps the corner workers on their toes. You registered for this weekend? Too bad you couldn't find a decent car to run.

I am trying to, but the way things are going, it is looking more like I will be going to the event on the 17th instead.

I think Chris's sarcasm is lost on most of us. I suspect you'll have a blast autocrossing your Evo (I sure do like driving Hsun's!)
I'll be out at most of the local events (including the one on the 17th.) Grab a ride with Hsun, Steve or Myself, or get any of us to ride with you and give you some tips. You'll find that everybody here is more than happy to help get more people into this sport!

Oh ok. Eh, we'll see, I don't think I can ever get to Hsun's level.

There's no such thing as "never." There's no such thing as "instantly" either. Be patient, and above all, have fun! Nobody's going to beat up on you for not being an uber-driver as a noob! Not at all what we're here for. This is an easy sport to get into, but a really hard one to master. All the people who go faster than you have been doing this long enough to know that.
I still haven't managed to live up to the reputation that Kevin Wenzel established for the car I bought from him. It's taken 5 years, but I'm finally starting to get within sight of it...

Jon, I noticed your co driver is registered, but you aren't yet. Make sure you do so before thursday an 10 AM. :)

Chris, cool, thank you for the help. How do I go about having one of you guys be my ride along? Do I need to tell somebody? Do I need to, for example, have Hsun's number, 54, and my number, 51, both on my car at the same time?
Anthony, thanks for letting me know, I am still uncertain if I will be able to make it, even if my car was ready (which it isn't, still got some tech issues and decals/magnetics to get) so I don't want to register for the event now and Sunday comes up and I end up not being able to go (especially if I have to work Sunday). Unless I can register for an event now and if I can't go come Sunday, is there any punishment for not attending an event I already registered for? By the way, one of the bolts that attaches my front bumper to my fender, on the driver side fell off thanks to the tornado winds I believe, hopefully I can find one at Home Depot or something, haha.

Jon, you won't need to do anything to have people ride along with you. Assuming they're not Novices, they will have need to have completed their competition runs before they ride. That's their responsibility, and is normally "policed" by their competitors. All you have to do is find 'em and ask. And you can ride with anyone anytime, regardless.
What kind of tech issues do you have?
Don't let not having your magnets shut you down. You can always print out numbers. We have a handy kit at http://www.rmsolo.org/makenumbers.html (http://www.rmsolo.org/forums/../makenumbers.html). Print 'em out, tape 'em on, and come drive fast!
Jon, always sign up whether you are positive or not.
No penalty for not showing up.
After registration closes online, you can always unregister when you realize you won't make it. If you don't register and then decide you can make it at the last minute then you are out of luck.
So safe bet: register.
