Looking ahead, :)
Is the schedule correct? No time trials?
Oct 24/25 HPR R/R (PDX Sunday only)

That is correct--the Pueblo event is the last CTT of the season. The HPR event is PDX only, and will be limited to corner workers as I understand it.

Correct Hank
the last CTT event will be the Pueblo event, registration is now open
you would still be welcome to drive in the PDX at HPR on Oct 25th, but we are limiting the event to workers only. Anyone who has worked an event in 2009 and not used their worker credit for PDX is eligible.
Anyone working the Oct 24th or 25th at HPR will also be welcome in the PDX. Current CTT drivers are allowed to drive solo in the PDX, obviously there is no timing and scoring.
let me know if you have questions

As grant pointed out, all you need to qualify for the worker PDX is to work that weekend so techniclly anyone can join in as long as they work as well. As far as timing goes that would partly be because timing and scoring is out on the track not in the tower during PDX (well part/most of it anyways) oh and the fact that we dont time PDX *dons halo and smiles inncoently*

Those drivers that don't frequent to tower on race weekends are probably not aware that Patrick is "the man" when it comes to T&S. He has been a great help to the CTT program (and the road racers too) and is always willing to help me out, smiling all the time
We are really excited to have Patrick finally join us on track in the PDX at Pueblo.
Anyone with computer skills would be welcome as a T&S worker at an event, Patrick will teach you well

Would there be an oppurtunity to learn some T&S with Patrick Sunday, and run the PDX Sunday as well? I do T&S at autocross, but I tend to stick to radio which doesn't require computer skills (though I am a system administrator by trade, so that should help :p ).
The reason I'm asking is that I don't think I could commit to being at the track both weekend days with school and work commitments.

T&S wise were always looking for more help (techniclly we need something like 12 people to be legal) and computer skills arnt required. In fact the main thing we need people for is non electronic related namley tapping (making list of cars as they cross line) especially at HPR since the T&S/Control "tower" cant see the track. As far as getting to do the PDX youll have to talk to grant about that.

We have done this before, with corner workers doing PDX the day that they drive. I assume the same would work for other worker assignments.

no problem doing the PDX on Sunday morning, and then working in the tower the rest of the day. As you are already a CTT driver, you are not required to attend the classroom session on Saturday afternoon, just ask one of the staff for a briefing on HPR, and we will be able to put an experienced racer in the passenger seat if you want someone to show you the racing line. Or use a lead / follow

Thanks for the responses! I'll verify my schedule and review the updated rules before coming out.
