Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped put on the school on Saturday. I had an awesome time and learned alot. The instructors were great, I was very impressed.

I agree, instructors were great, very patience and informative. Great lunch and nice weather, after a bit.

Now, if I could just learn to apply some of this stuff.

Agreed.

I was so brain-drained after the school that I went to bed *LONG* before sunset and slept for nearly 12 hours.

Additionally, I want to thank Donnie Bartalone for the loan of his DS Lexus IS300 on Sunday. Above and beyond frying my brain, I *FUH-RIED* the cheap tires on the MR2 on Saturday, and wasn't planning on running on Sunday until he tempted me (evil-yet-surprisingly-generous man that he is) with the codrive. I actually had to go home during 1st heat to get my helmet - I was *that* set on not driving - No car, no checkbook, no helmet, no numbers, no nothing...just the prior committment to work the Registration table that I intended to keep...then another appointment with my pillow. Didn't quite work out that way. :)

The instruction and advice that I got from multiple ride-alongs with Jesse Caudill, Eric Pollack, and David Jobusch (along with out of car advice from Dan Goodman and Russ Johnson), combined with Donnie's DS-trim IS-300 was good enough to put me ONE (1) FRIGGIN CONE away from "Not Last Place" in !!!X class!!! on Sunday.
Talk about jumping into the deep end! *grin*

Autocross School was the best $60 I ever spent. :)

I also have to chip in my thanks to my instructors Dan, Eric, Russ, David and Jesse; They all helped me figure out alot of bad habits in my driving and more importantly how to start getting rid of them. Now if only my car had stayed together for the event:(
