I'm looking for a 17mm wheel socket that won't scratch my "new" wheels. The socket I'm looking for has a protective coating on the outside and also on the inside. Harbor Freight has cheap ones in sets, but I'm looking for a little higher quality. I checked Snap On and they have thr right sockets, just not in 17mm. Craftsman doesn't sell this type of socket. Does anyone have a source for this type of tool?

Thanks,

Lee

Try Bavarian Autosport or possibly Griot's Garage both may be pricey but I'm certain I've seen them there. Of course there's always electrical tape and a craftsman socket... Buy two Craftsman sockets, wrap the tape on one for tighten and the other for loosen :D

Performance Wheel and Tire may also stock them (303.934.2929). You may also try OnTrack Performance, but I think that would be a long shot.
