I've been looking forward to this event since going to Miller last year. However, I saw that the track is pretty packed that weekend with 3 different events going on at the same time.

Looks like SCCA and MPRA are both using the West course and MoM (motorcycle racing) on the East.

While Miller is super sweet, one of the things (in my mind) that makes it incredible is the size of the track and variety of features.

That being said, has anyone from RM & Utah region SCCA or MPRA tried to reach out to the motorcycle guys to see if there is any interest in swapping courses on Sunday ? i.e.: run West on Saturday and East on Sunday ?

I think that would both allow everyone to run there without scheduling conflicts and offer more variety. Both East and West are about the size of Pueblo (2.2 miles). I would imagine if there is much interest that we should start the conversations now rather than later.

Mark, I'm glad you're showing signs delusion too :)

Figure it's at least worth asking... i'm excited for Miller, but would be totally jazzed (no pun intended) if we could get a little more taste of it while we're there...
FWIW, i also posted the question to the Utah region SCCA forum as there was a slightly similar question:

I've even looked into the lapping day on Friday the 19th, but that, too, is only the West course...

For those that have not run at Miller, it truly is a gem, i plan to make an annual pilgrimage as long as i can afford it.

well, this idea is not going to happen this year, here is the response from the Utah region.

There is no MPRA event this weekend, Only SCCA on the west, and MoM on the east.

MPRA has graciously let us run this as an MPRA points event for anyone racing MPRA through the season.

As for swapping tracks or mixing sessions, due to sanctioning, SCCA insurrance requirements, and general logistics, we wont be doing any kind of swapping during the days. If this event is successful, maybe next year we could work something out with whoever is renting the other side of the track, but for this season both the Double regional and double national will be on the west track.

I'm still going though :D
