Tech Inspection questions.

Just saw the new tech worksheet, and have a few questions.

1. Revolutions Performance shop here in C. Spgs does Tech insp for some of the other clubs. Great bunch of guys and they are happy to do inspections for the guys here in C. Spgs. Is it Ok with SCCA if I get my cars inspected there?

2. Saw that front and rear tow hooks are now mandatory. If you have a BMW or Mini Cooper, it has a threaded hole in front and back for a hook to screw into. Do you need to have 2 hooks, or can you just have the one hook in the factory trunk tool kit and put it in where you need it at the time?

The tow hook requirement is a result of an incident at Pueblo, where a car had an aftermarket front spoiler, which meant the wrecker could not get a lift under the wheels, and there was no convenient tow point.

You do not need to have both tow hooks in place, but I'd recommend removing both covers, and threading the tow hook into the front. If they need an attachment point at the rear, they can move the tow hook. If you choose to carry the hook in the car with you, it must be secure, but also easily accessible.
