Lapping day 04/17/2009

Anyone attempting the lapping day tomorrow at HPR? I signed up but I have no idea if it is still being held. Somehow I think the 3-5" of expected snow will cancel it.

Also, does anyone know how to find out if they cancel? I have tried contacting them and signed up for their mailing list but haven't received any information from any source confirming or canceling the event.

Weather forecasts I see are saying rain east of I-25.

I was registered for the 17th but decided to reschedule for the 24th due to the forecast. I made the right call... I have 6" of fresh snow and it's still coming down.
I sent an e-mail to the track manager through the "Contact Us" link on the HPR site and he responded later that evening.

Sorry I missed you and the rest of the NASA crew. I spent two and a half hours on track by myself and decided it was time to boogie before the roads in denver got too bad. Great facility, great guys. I was the only car on track and the course workers just watched me parade around for three hours. Can't complain; I won't see that much track time for $90 again. Hope to get out there in the dry maybe next week Friday. Hope you had fun getting wet.
