No ... the Heartland Park Regionals is in just a few weeks ... on April 23rd.

Wendover is in August.

Greg, will there be any testing and tuning at HPT the day before?

The event mentioned in this thread is 4/23.

The event you are thinking of is actually 8/5-6 IIRC, Wendover is 8/19-20

I realized after I posted that link...that nowhere on that particular page, is the date mentioned. The event I was referring to is April 23rd. Its just a local event. No test and tune. Just a local event with preregistration.

I'm trying to market the event to surrounding regions because of the cost of the site. We will need 10 fold our usual entry numbers, to even come close to breaking even. We had 23 at our first event of the season at our usual site.

I understand that its hard to convince a region that far away, that its worthwhile for just a one day event. But it_is_the new Nationals site. So I thought if even a few people made it out, it was worthwhile to invite you guys. I also understand its on the same weekend as the Houston Tour. But its a whole lot closer.

And if you decide its not worth it for just one day, we have 3 more two day weekend events coming. The next is in June. See the schedule on that link above.

Thanks for the notice that registration is open for the Apr. 23 event. As you realize, the two-day events in June and August will be of much greater interest, so we will appreciate hearing from you again when registration opens for those. :cool:

I had a good time at the divisional last year and you guys ran a good event. As Jesse said I will be there with him in his car.

Jesse, I found on the registration page that it states that payment is due that morning via cash or checks.

Eric found your answer on the payment. No hotel deals. I've heard that Topeka has some nice hotels participating with Hotwire & Priceline, and that rooms can be found in the upper 30's, low 40s.

That drive is nothing now after you do it a couple times. I've driven to Philly and back, so it seems like nothing when you are going only 8 1/2 hours.

I came to your guys' Tour last year. I drove from Lawrence KS(20miles farther) to the site, in right about 7hrs. I didn't think it was a bad drive. And I'll be doing it again this year.
