Does anyone have any suggestions on a set of street touring legal tires in 205/50-16 for a 98 Prelude.
Thank you.

Hi Dylan, it's Dylan! har har.
Anyway. That seems like a hokey size, and I'm not sure what tires are available in it, but I do know that all ST tires are not equal. Look for these tire models(available tire sizes can be found at tires.com or tirerack.com) :
Falken Azenis RT-615
Yokohama Advan Neova
Hankook 212(I think)
Kumho MX
Bridgestone RE040
BFG KD
also these are older models that may or may not be still available:
Falken Fk451
Yokohama AVS sport
Michelin Pilot (Sport)
You might also benefit from switching to a wider wheel in either 15" or 17". If Possible
I'd really try to find a way to get 225s under it to try to keep up with those voodoo SI hatchbacks in the corners.
Good luck
EDIT: Just saw it was for a 'lude. My tire suggestions remain.

Falken makes the RT-615 street touring tire that is close to what you're looking for:
215/45-16
205/40-16
They've been getting good reviews. What size wheels are you going to be using?

They're going on my bro's stock Prelude SH wheels which are 16x7". He really wants the RT-615s, but I think that the 205/40-16s would be way too small on his car, considering that's what goes on my Civic.
I've heard (from Jesse I believe) that the Kumho MXs are not good on heavier cars and his car weighs almost 3000lbs, so I was steering away from those.
Last night we found the Dunlop SP EF901s on Discount Tire in the 205/50-16s. They have a 200 treadwear rating, but I've never talked to anyone who has these.
We were also looking at the Hankook Ventus, but they seem a little pricey and he's on a budget.
A wider tire would be nice, if he goes with 225s, what would be a good aspect ratio for them? He has room too put a little bigger tire in his wheel well, but not a ton.
Thanks!

Is this going to be for racing or just daily driving?
If its for daily driving the MX would be a possibility. For racing probably not so much :)
Here's a handy tire size calculator (requires java):

You can compare stock tire size to any possible new sizes you are looking at.

Where did you find the RT-615s in 215/45-16 Jesse? I can't find them on Discount Tire Direct, that would be a good size though.

I think they just came out recently.

Sweet...Vulcan Tire has them for $98 each. Called Discount Tire and they want $130, what a rip off! Thanks a lot Dylan (other Dylan:D ) and Jesse.
