I have a question about classing for my car for the summer series. Its a 2004 ION Redline with the following modifications:

Coilovers, rear sway bar, subframe braces, traction bars, tie-rod endlinks, strut tower brace, engine torque damper, poly motor and trans mounts, 2.8" supercharger pulley, injectors, different plugs, shorty header, hi-flow cat, cat-back exhaust, intake, boost gauge, wideband, Corbeau bucket seats, 4-point harnesses, short shifter, oil catch can, HID's, slotted rotors, different pads, clutch and flywheel, heat exchanger with extra coolant tank, intercooler endplate

I am thinking SM, but im still reading the 2008 rule book, so I thought I would check. Thanks!

Don't subframe braces bump you out of SM?

I was reading the 2008 rule book and I was thinking the same thing about the subframe braces. They arnt on the car yet, but they are sitting in the garage and I was planning on installing them before March. There is one bar on each side. They run from the front of the car to the rear and each bar has mounting points on each end and in the middle. Holes would be drilled for mounting. Anyone else have any ideas on this?

I think subframe connectors are allowed in *SP now, which means they are also allowed in SM. As long as they are only longitudinal and don't triangulate.

If you're talking the URaceCars subframe braces for the Redline, they ARE allowed in SP - so therefore SM - at least so long as you only use three mount points (you can't use all four) and you bolt (not weld) them in...

In fact, if you weren't using the smaller pulley on the blower, even with everything else, you could run in DSP - possibly even STX.

Yes, they are the URaceCars braces. I could of sworn that each bar only had 3 mounting points, not 4. It has been a while since I have looked at them though. I know that with a stock pulley I could be in a different class, but having the smaller one on there makes daily driving much more fun.
