An incident like this would really take the fun out of haulling ass like we all like to do. Driving at 101% is a thrill like no other, but the risk is ever present.
Even if you don't blow it because of your own mistake like this guy did, things can still happen, mechanical breakage, oil or coolant on your line, dirt thrown up on the track from someone. Last summer at Pueblo I barley missed a big fat juicy greasy Prairie Dog who dashed right across the track. Seemed kinda comical at the moment but then later on I remember wondering how slippery the mush might have been.

i hope the driver was alright... geesh, good thing it is a very long car, lots of material to absorb the impact.

... on the upside, looks like he's got two good CCW's to sell.

Makes me thankful that Pueblo only has berms and bunkers :)

No, I've just managed to avoid them so far (only by a couple of inches, once, but still missed it), unlike the obstacles I mentioned ;)

Smart man...
