It's time to vote for the Year-End Special Awards again! (Where'd the summer go?)

Nominations are closed.

Members can nominate individuals for End of Year Awards. Nominees and nominators must be SCCA members. You must provide your membership number and justification for the nomination for it to be considered. Winners will be decided by the Chief's Group. The Awards are:

NOVICE OF THE YEAR: Awarded to the driver, who in their novice year, demonstrate the most skill, success and dedication to the sport. Novices who are bumped out of the indexed novice class due to points are automatically eligible for the Novice of the Year award. In the event that more than one Novice qualifies on this basis, the Chiefs will evaluate all of the potential NotY candidates and nominees.

DRIVER OF THE YEAR: Awarded to the driver who has out driven all the rest. The driver who consistently demonstrates the greatest over all driving talent over the course of the season.

MOST IMPROVED DRIVER: Awarded to the driver who has demonstrated the greatest improvement from the prior season.

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR: Awarded to the person who is personally involved in as many aspects of the club and the RMSolo program as they can be. An individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help out the RMSolo season in as many ways as they can, and help make our program more enjoyable and successful.

HARD LUCK AWARD: For the driver who through no fault of their own had a tough year, but persevered through it.

The following special awards need not be awarded every year:

RICKY PENA AWARD: Awarded to the person who demonstrates unmatched sportsmanship, friendliness, and enthusiasm, and selflessly encourages enjoyment of the sport for others. Sportsmanship with a smile.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN SOLO CUP: Awarded to person who, through their efforts, contributes significantly to the development and improvement of the sport, the program and the RMSolo regions.

Is it suitable to make nominations in this thread like was done last year?
It's probably very helpful for awards like "volunteer of the year" to remind us of some of those that put in big efforts behind the scenes (site acquisition comes to mind for this year).

Sure, feel free to campaign for whomever you like on this thread! Just be sure to vote using the form - we won't be tabulating results posted solely on this (or any other) thread.

No further nominations for special EOY awards will be taken. The winners have been decided, and will be presented at the banquet.
