If this will be your first event, you must attend the Novice Meeting and Course Walk which will be held around 8:00 or 8:15. Listen for the PA announcement for the actual time, which depends on when course setup is complete. You'll get some valuable advice for driving and working the course. If you are running in the first heat (there'll be a list at registration), put your car in grid BEFORE reporting for the Novice meeting.

A coursewalk guided by local "experts" will be offered for novices with some experience.

Allow me to make a few suggestions to help lower your learning curve:

- On the rmsolo website (www.rmsolo.org) read the "Novice Guide" and the "Cornerworker's Guide" at the "Getting Started" link (follow the advice therein!). Also read the Supplemental Regulations.

Show up just before registration opens (~ 6:45), and get in line for registration immediately after parking your car. If you wait very long, you will not get through registration in time to attend the Novice Meeting!

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
