Well, starting to get the car totally back together and there's on thing that's been sitting on the back of the plate..

Race seats.
Sotck porsche seats are 44lbs a piece.
Momo T-Frames are 17.. and cheap at about $250 a shot.
The car will not see a lot of street duty, but are these comfortable enough to be mildly enjoyable? (I'm 5'7, 140lbs) The seat is basically momo's cheapest one piece.

also, does this thing look like it will work with stock belts for normal driving, along with a 5pt for comp?

-no, I won't be using the back seats anymore.

These hunsaker seats keep winking at me too..

Those look fairly similar to our Sparco Speed. The stock belt works fine for daily driving with the racing harness still in.

Porsche seats? Don't you run a WRX?

Looks like things just got even more interesting in SM2. See you the 26th!

it uh... spins

I should be sponsored by MAYTAG.

We'll see, the last time I autocrossed this beast was about 3 years ago. My pressures were all wrong, I was running old p6000ss tires, the suspension was original, and it had never been aligned. Although I have owned the car since 97.... I hadn't driven it that angry, and she got very angry back at me.

I haven't driven her in over a year.. If time is on my side, I'll register for sunday.

we shall see..

ooh, I still have visions of a white 911 in SM2 that made me look like I was driving with the parking brake on . . .

What puts it in SM2?

Tarted up new suspension.....
It could be ASP, but ASP is so much more limiting than SM2. With the whole backdate and limited modification rules in ASP, it just seemed easier and more fum to go this route.
The Pax scores are pretty similar, so the competition should be the same-ish.
Besides, I'm thinking my engine will pop sometime this year, and at that point it's time for a 3.6 or some nicely hopped up 3.2 mods.

Right now the engine is a mostly stock 3.2. It has a really nice chip in it and a straight pipe.
