Hey all - quick reminder from the driver's meeting - the owners of PPIR have requested that no videos or photographs be posted/published until further notice.
Thanks!
Iain (unofficial capacity, but I REALLY like PPIR, and while videos are neat,
that was one of the requirements - we need to be good tenants:)

Is emailing pics you took to others ok, as long as they don't get posted somewhere?
In other words, can you "send them through the tubes, as long as they don't get left on a truck" ;) ok?

I'll defer to Clay/Tom on that one; all I know was "don't post."

Any specific reason for them not wanting "publicity"?

<pure speculation>
The owners of PPIR have a lot of renovation in the works. They're dealing with a facility that has sat idle for quite a while, and been the victim of vandalism and theft. They're working hard to get it all put back together, and doubtless are looking forward to a well-deserved exciting launch of "The new PPIR." They want to be able to publicize the re-opening in their own way. I say power to 'em, and go get 'em. I think we can all get behind that. Personally, I'm hoping that when they're ready to "launch," they'll have a big event. I'd like to attend!
Nobody likes to have company without a chance to house-clean, after all.
</pure speculation>
In any event, they have asked us to keep images of the facility under our hats for now. That's all we really need to know. The site is fantastic, and an incredible asset to our organization. The owners are excited about a relationship with RMSolo. In the interests of being good tenants, we need to abide by all of their wishes, and be grateful for the opportunity to run at this fantastic (and HUGE) facility.

I did not hear this mentioned in the driver's meeting, and have asked at least two other folks that did not hear it either.
If it was mentioned, sorry I missed it. Did anyone hear it other than Iain and John Schier?

Yes, I did hear it mentioned at the all hands meeting that PPIR had asked no pictures nor any videos be posted to any public forums. (paraphrasing.)

I have pictures from Sat morning with:
Arnie (the one of you taking a picture came out really well btw)
Arnie and Lindsay talking
Mark B, Al, Michael setting up the course
random not so great shots of the cars in the second group that ran the triangle (I liked the NSX...) taken during the changeover. Don't worry, nothing taken during a hot course...
PM or email me if you want them.

It was mentioned in the all-hands meeting at the Fast Forward school on Saturday. I didn't hear it mentioned at the autocross on Sunday. I believe all the folks who say they heard it were also at Fast Forward, so maybe that's where they heard it?

I did not mention it at the all hands meeting but I sure should have. I believe Rudy is right that it was at the FF and not #10.
