Here's the site map for PPIR.

Note that there is only one access route to paddock. This route is not physically separated from the course area, so for safety reasons, NO TRAFFIC WILL BE ALLOWED BETWEEN GATE AND PADDOCK WHILE COURSE IS HOT. Entrance and exit will only be permitted between heats, so plan accordingly!

The wide area at the entrance of paddock is intended for trailers/haulers. Cars should park along the road to the north. Park only on the West lane!

Thanks, Randy! You saved me some time.

The only change for Sunday; we may have to paddock on the entrance road to the VIP lot, as well. Waivers/gate workers should plan on setting up further up the entrance road toward I-25 than we have in the past.

Thanks.

Clay

We all need to make this work. We will have people changing tires on the paddock road. I'm not sure how wide it is, but I expect that there won't be a lot of room to pass tire changers. So everyone keep your eyes open.

Both roads are 3 lanes wide.

If memory serves me correctly correctly Midway Ranch road runs back against the highway and connects to a road that goes east/west (just north of the picture) that meets with the highlighted paddock road. It was the road that took you to the non VIP parking spots (all dirt just north of the track). I dont remember if Midway Ranch is one way or not, but you can get on Midway Ranch one exit north of PPIR and come in that way if it is. That should also allow exit during the event if needed. You may want to post a gate person there as well.

Scott,

You're close; problem is, there is access, but no road there. You have to drive across the field that PPIR used for parking.

I think most sports cars, and certainly lowered cars, would have a hard time plowing through there. :)

For curiosity's sake, has anyone thought of asking to use the infield? If I remember well, it was a large paved (Concrete and asphalt) area.

How about it?

Both roads are 3 lanes wide.

My point exactly. With people parking on both sides and trying to change tires, there will not be much room left in the middle for cars to drive through.

I'd envisioned parking on one side of the road - left side, driving in, in my head - leaving ~2 lanes for traffic. I think it is going to work out great, honestly. Gateperson will need a radio, naturally, and we'll have to stop cars to let cars out (IMHO, those coming IN during the day can park and walk), ehh, it'll be great.

I don't think everyone will fit just using one side. Clay is saying we may also need to use the entry road.

Speaking as a guy who always feels like he's in someone's way, I don't really care where I end up, but if there is a plan worked out it would be great if the people working early gate know what it is and can kind of point us in the right direction. I'm sure we're all more than willing to do whatever we need to do to make it work.

Really looking forward to running at the new site!!

Thanks,

Ed

Perhaps I missed this, but what about parking under the bleachers and the surrounding area as we have done in the past?

The bleachers and surrounding infrastructure have been vandalized and have been deemed 'unsafe' by PPIR. Therefore, we cannot use that area.
