See the attached image.

This year we'll typically use one entire spot for parking, not end to end, so you should be able to park IN GRID how it's shown in this image.

It'll give room to everybody in grid to do what they want to do, with out bumping doors.

I'd also like to make a suggestion. At most of the national events I've been to, they don't write grid numbers on the surface. They have laminated papers with numbers on them, and they are attached to the bottom of cones. The cones are then laid over and pointed outwards from the space.

I think it would be handy because:
1) easier to find your grid space since you can see the numbers easier from your car (you could have different colors for a/b grids)
2) numbers don't get washed away if its raining.
3) no wasting chalk/drywall writing out numbers you can't read anyways.
4) easier to fix grid if someone marks it out incorrectly.

Excellent!! Last event was a little tight, and it looks like someone's tire bumped the front of my car...not enough to do damage, just left some rubber.:(

Feldbusch is talking about doing this very thing on the Chiefs forum.

I remember seeing the numbers-on-cones-in-grid at the San Diego Tour last year (that's where the picture of Jesse and Carol is from), but don't remember seeing it anywhere else.

I thought it was very effective, not to mention looking more, well, professional. We should at least do it for our Tour and Pro.

I like the way those cones with the numbers look. We should def. go with that if at a ll possible

The only issue I see with this setup is peple turning too soon and running over an adjacent drivers stuff as they leave for grid.

I'll withhold judgement on this till I see how many air tanks and compressors get run over...

We'll have to watch that.
