Does the Divisional Count for Team Autocross

Just curious if the Divisional will count in the Team Autocross scores. I think it should - maybe the points from the two day total?

I disagree. It shouldn't count for team totals since the individual results don't count towards individual season totals.

Not after it was decided long ago that it wouldn't and registration is closed. I'm sure a lot of drivers don't attend because it isn't a points event and they have no intention of going to the Nat's.

We have lots of local people that do go to Nats, but no where near 150. It was decided long ago that this event would not be a local points event, but that has nothing to do with teams. The team competition is totally unofficial and I see no reason that we couldn't apply the team concept to a Divisional. I doubt that entry would have changed much if it had been decided to apply the team competition for this weekend long ago. I don't see many people attending just for the team aspect of the sport.

Hi everyone- I just spoke to Hank and he can't come to the Internet right now on account of he's sitting on a boat drinking a beer in the middle of the St Lawrence River. He did ask me to let everyone know that the Divisional will not count in Team standings. This was decided some time ago (last year I believe) and among reasons already mentioned regarding limited field sizes it was also not counted because the local indexed classes we run are not run at that event either (for example AT did not run).

The next event will be counted, but because he is somewhat indisposed right now the updated team standings will be posted late.

It must suck to be retired...
