Greetings fellow Club Trials drivers

sanction numbers have been received, and registration is now open for the July 19/20 event at Pueblo.
Please read the following thread carefully, to answer your registration questions

http://www.rmsolo.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2305

(just replace any references to April with July)

Some important things you may forget

- when you go to DLBracing.com to register, make sure you are logged on (if you have an account) and try clicking "refresh" on your browser if you encounter any issues during registration. Some cookies do not work with the DLB site, so refreshing the page usually cures those problems.

- make sure you fill in all the fields on the registration page, including things like car track, transponder number and weight. These fields are more for the road racers, but the system requires you fill in something (anything will do) in order to complete the registration page. As I state in the above referenced thread, you can use "none" or "0000" (four zero's) if you do not know the answer to the field.

-prepayment is required, either by check or Paypal. If you have any issues, contact me. If you run into issues with paying via paypal, linked from the DLB site, you can register per normal, and indicate you are going to pay by check. This completes your registration, THEN you can go to paypal, and send money to me directly

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems. I can be reached at GBarclay"at"aol.com

DO NOT send me a PM on this site, I am rarely logged on here. Send me an email

This is the only event at Pueblo this season that will qualify you for an invitation to the CTT Season Finale in October. The season finale will be per invitation only, and you must have run at least one event with the CTT/PDX program in 2008, in order to qualify. If you miss the July event you will need to attend the La Junta event Sept 13/14.

Don't procrastinate, enter now, qualify now, get a time on the Time Trials Tablet (tm) now.

I just registered as a worker for the Saturday event. I'll get registered into the Sunday event next week.

Is there a "class" for new workers that I need to attend on Friday night?

Do I need to contact the chief of workers and let them know I'm there to "pay for" the PDX back in May?

I'm IN!!
Just registered, and I will bring 8 pistons this time.
It was fun last time at La Junta flogging the 4 piston 318is for all it was worth. I got lots of practice watching my rear view mirrors and being passed, but I got a cramp in my left arm from giving everybody so many pass me signals.

This one is on my radar, i think i'll be able to attend.

Shall i make a general assumption that once you have completed and been signed off from a PDX for a track, you are no longer required to do a PDX at that track... even if that sign-off was an earlier season ?

And second, is each day the same; same start time, same number of CTT sessions/duration. I can only do one of the two days and just want to be sure before registering. Thanks !

Look forward to seeing all of your smiling-TT faces.

no class or anything like that. Please meet under the tower (at the start of the drag strip) at 7:30 am on Saturday. I will put you in contact with the chief of workers, and they will assign you to a corner station with other experienced workers. They will conduct your training "on the spot" so to speak.
You are guaranteed to have the best seats for the racing action.

Please make sure you tell the chief of workers that you are working in exchange for the free PDX, we want them to be aware of how many workers we send their way.

no obligation to do the PDX if you have already run with us, you can do it if you want the extra 30 minutes of seat time, but no obligation.

The schedule will be the same each day, PDX first session (8am to 8:30am) and then CTT is the last of the run groups (provisionally 6 at the moment). 20 minutes practice in the morning, 20 minutes qualifying (immediately before, or immediately after lunch) and then a 20 minute competition session at the end of the day.

Who is going to be on top of the Time Trials Tablet (tm) at the end of the weekend?? :D

Great to see folks going to make the trip. Thanks Mark for volunteering to work Saturday, and glad to see Garrett planning on making it out for a TT! Kubo of course is required to attend.

Help us spread the word and get the numbers up for this event!

Am I the only one the DLBracing.com site isn't working for? I tried it several times yesterday, and again today, but no go. I tried "googling", and going in via a link, but I can't get anything dlb related to come up?

Here's the one I have bookmarked...

You'll need to setup an account if you haven't done that already.

Do I understand right that you get a total of 30min of track time if you attend the PDX?

That is correct provived there is only one PDX group. I believe if there are enough drivers to run two groups, then it would be a 20 minute session.

Boyd

the PDX classroom session is typically 45 minutes to an hour,

the on track session is 30 minutes long, and you have an instructor in the car with you for the whole session (unless you are in a race car with only one seat - in which case, you will be part of a lead/follow for the whole session) We have not needed to cap the entries to date, the track at Pueblo can safely handle up to 28 cars at a time (according to the GCR).

Cost is $99 for the PDX or FREE if you volunteer to work a road race event in Colorado or Continental Divide region.

Also worth mentioning that if you graduate the PDX, you get a further hour of time in the 3 TT sessions.

What is the estimated 'end time' for the CTT sessions on Sunday ?

... i know, i know... its not even here and i'm already thinking about the end. For good reason, i have to book some business travel for Sunday night and i do not want to compromise my track time if i can plan accordingly.

I know the track is supposed to close at 4pm (or is it 5pm ?) so that is an official stop, but is the CTT not going to be the last track session of the day ?

The track closed at 4 PM back in March when we ran at the FAASST day, but it may stay open later during the summer months. The schedule from the DLB site. It just say's "end of day". What that is? FIIK!

I was planning on going down Friday night. Can we "camp" at the track or do we have to park in the area east of the gated entrance? I was also going to stay over night on Saturday. Again, can we "camp" at the track?

Track closing

Garrett - I cannot safely predict what time the event will end, too many factors that may change that. I know the road racers do their utmost best to keep things on schedule especially on Sunday. But in Oct 2007, the final CTT session on Saturday finished after dark.

I would plan on finishing by 5pm on Sunday.

Camping

Mark,

camping is allowed at the track, on Friday please avoid the area set aside for the drag racers. This is usually clearly marked, or please ask one of the track officials or SCCA guys if you are not sure. I will be at the track Friday and can point you in the right direction. Basically avoid the area on the southern most side of the paddock. You will notice a few corner workers who camp on the east side of the paddock near the showers

I came across a diagram of the PMP paddock/pits showing where to (or not to) park when a drag racing event is running. I just can't seem to find it now.
