Congratulations to Team Torque. Looks like they get to add another "kill cone"
bringing their total to two. Cones now stand with Teams Torque and
SSHR tied with two each.
Team results are posted at

HC represents your handicap.
Your handicap is a moving average, as you complete events your handicap
moves up or down depending on your scores.
If you attended Event #3, your new handicap includes your score from
Event #3.
The net score is your indexed score plus handicap. Top five scores are taken
from each team each event.
If you have corrections or comments you can post them here or email me
at HankDerr "at" aol.com.
Feel free to check my calculations as I'm getting considerable pressure
from my fellow teammates on TEAM Y! to add in a few "bonus points".
Thanks for playing,
Hank

Hank - I want to make sure I'm understanding the handicap correctly.
Mine is a 55, so for this event I should have scored 951 + 55 = 1006 points, right? It only shows 1003 in the results (yes, 3 points, I know!)... Just want to make sure I'm not missing something obvious here.
Thanks!

Hey Chris,
The 55 HC was for event #3, remember it moves as you attend events.
Your handicap is the last three scores averaged and then subtracted from
1000.
In your case, one of these scores is taken as your average from
last year (945) and the other two are your scores
from Events #2 (945) and #3 (953). You didn't enter
Event #1.
(LastYrAvg + Event #2 + Event #3)/3
( 945 + 945 + 953 ) / 3 = 948 avg last three
1000 - 948 = 52 current handicap for Event #4
You scored 951 + 52 = 1003 team pts.
Does that make sense?
Now if you have a black and red stripe on your car, that an extra
10 pts bonus, it's in the rules someplace, really. :D

Thanks Hank. That's what I suspected, but I also thought the HC listed on the results would be the current one, which was what left me confused.
Thanks!

Oh, :o I forgot to update the handicaps on the results. Now I
understand the confusion.
Thanks,

I believe Hank is making them.
One for each side is awesome. I'm going to run the team trophies on one side, and the class trophies on the other I think.

I am really excited about this kill cone though, as the first one I got I did not earn. I was not at the event that Team Torque won their first kill cone at. But now I can proudly display this one as I helped to earn it!

what exactly are the kill cones, and how are they earned?

The kill cones are a great little magnet (or sticker if you prefer) of a cone with its tongue sticking out (didn't know they had them did you?) and it says "Team Autocross Event Winner" or something like that. It is just a great way to reward the AutoX team that came in first place at an event.
