The FAASST Performance Driving School has exclusive rental of Pueblo Motorsports Park on:
May 8
May 29
June 5
June 12
July 10
Aug 1
You are invited to lap with us on any of those days as long as you pre-register by phone: 719-761-1372 or email: registration@faasst.com
Cost is $100 for the whole day. If you have not lapped at PMP before, you will need to take the safety class which is $149 for the day (also available on those dates).
We are limiting the space at these FAASST Lapping Day events, so pre-registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Wahoo Wahoo Wahoo!!! This is just to good to be true. :D
All these dates are on my day's off during the week. Thank you very much for the invite Judy. I don't know which ones I'll be able to attend but hopefully many!!!
(Doing the "Happy Dance"!)
Judy I have been to PMP before, but it was before the safety class was required. I would need the safety class then?
Thanks.

I won't. I'm registered for the 5/4 TT at La Junta already. I'll probably skip the 2nd and attend the Pueblo & HPR ones in addition to catching a few of these FAASST Days.

Are there car requirements, are restraints etc., for lapping days?
Is the $150 safety course fee on top of the lapping day fee?
thank you.

Nick,
There was no mention of arm restraints or nets. I was going to wear my arm straps but spaced it until I was pulling out for the first practice session and said screw it for the rest of the day.
The $150 ($149 actually) is for BOTH the safety class and the track fee: $49 for the class and $100 for the track time. If you're on the approved drivers list for PMP you won't need to take the safety class.

I'm just very pleased that I have the opportunity to develop my track skills. As much fun as AX is, TT and eventually road racing is what I want to do.
My plan was to build a car and go out to Second Creek and just have fun 3 or 4 times a month. We all know what happened to those plans… (FLUSHING SOUND)

On a positive note, looks like High Plains Raceway is a step closer to becoming reality! http://highplainsraceway.com

Yeah, I was reading the latest E-Mail they sent out. They're still hoping to be running races this year... Cooooooooooooool!
Imagine, a 2.5 mile stretch of twisty pavement as smooth as DSGP over rolling hills with banked turns... And no speed limit!!! :D

Hey guys,
If your car is prepared for auto-x or TT, then your car is prepared for our FAASST Lapping Days. If you still are not sure, you may preview the tech inspection form that we use for our HP schools here (http://www.faasst.com/tech.html).
FAASST Lapping Day cost at PMP is $100 OR $149 for the safety course. Both options provide lapping for you 8 to 4.
The FAASST school will be running on the lapping days as well, so a schedule for the lapping day participants will be utilized. You will get about 4-5 hours of lapping time with adequate breaks in between.
We are also looking for corner workers for these events. So if you are interested in working AND driving, we will offer you a $50 discount for the day.
Call me at 719-761-1372 to discuss.
PS. We are at PMP this Tuesday running a race school, then we are off to Omaha to run a school at MAM. If you miss me via phone, leave a message and I'll call you back while traveling.

Question about rollbars, again :o Are they required on convertibles? My friend has a stock Pontiac Solstice and would like to take it out on a track, but the car is not equipped with any kinda rollbars. Would he be able to run?

Rollbar answer, again :o.
;)
We will be running our Faasst Lapping Days with our K&K Insurance which allows us to lap convertibles without rollbars. HOWEVER, we do have a Faasst waiver that you will sign acknowledging that you take full responsibility for your actions and that you are AWARE that you are lapping with inadequate roll over protection.
Bottom line, its just not safe, but its your decision to do it.
On another note ... :D our insurance allows us to run 16 year olds on track, unlike the PMP insurance which says drivers must be at least 18. Therefore, if any of you want to bring your kart champions and other young drivers out to lap with us, we can handle it for you.

anyone interested in lapping at PMP should check this out!
today it was me and 2 other guys all morning. that's it. I put 100 miles on the track.
2 other road racers showed up in the afternoon.
not bad for $100 (+$49 for the excellent safety class and in-car coursewalk)
:D

Kelly, you had a great day yesterday and did really well! A nice 80 degree day and open track is what its all about.
See you at the next auto-x.
For anyone else who wants to join us at PMP, our next dates are June 5, June 12, July 10 and Aug 1.
If we get a large enough response, we will buy the track for the day so that you can have an open track just like Kelly did.
:)
