Tech question for my friend

Hi Gang,

Well one of my buddies has been hearing me go on and on about how cool autocross is and he wants to run next week. He has a PT Cruiser that he believes will be an STU car. But he has a question...

He has a cracked windshield. Is that a tech problem? If it's an issue he can co-drive with me to get his feet wet, but I figure if he wants to race the PT he'd do just as well to start getting a feel for the car.

As long as they dont obstruct the view, there shouldnt be a concern

Thanks for the quick response. I called my buddy back- he's psyched to run. I think he'll become a regular pretty quick. He's got a 914 that he's working on that would be a cool autocrosser when he gets it ready. He's also one of only two other people (besides me) I know restoring a 70s Capri! One of these years we'll have them done and we'll bring them out just for fun to show you guys what real cars are all about! lol

You know, I am not at all familiar with the classes other than stock, but I know he's done a few things to it. Ironically, I don't think he's changed the wheels.

He must have the 2.4L Turbo version. In which case, yes, he'd be STU with some ST mods.
