There are a couple items to address:
1) Nobody is allowed to do any sort of tire warming on any part of the lot, or adjacent streets during, before or after the event. There were a few who participated in both. Please don't. If you see somebody doing either, please tell them not too. DIA is watching, and our insurance doesn't allow tire warming or anything else on site.
2) Please leave your paddock space clean. No dumping BBQ coals, garbage or anything else in the paddock area.
A few items were left. They'll be there in March in the truck, or outside the truck.
Dale wasn't at the event, results should be up by Monday I'd think.
Thanks for everybody who went out of their way to help make the event great, especially those who helped setup and cleanup after the event. It's a lot of work.. makes me want to go back to a corner worker.. but with your help, we move on looking forward to March.
Michael, great course, thanks.
Thanks,
ianacole

Let's remember to announce this during the all-hands meeting, as well.

Additionally... No Handheld Cameras For Passengers.
Wasn't announced during the Driver's Safety Meeting (though it was in January, IIRC), and I saw at least 2 pax holding video cameras, and heard a couple more called in when I happened to be in earshot of a radio...
Perhaps an temporary "universal fit" install device that locks between the headrests (or mounts to one of them) and has a standard tripod mount would be another income source for $10/day rentals?

This was specifically announced. That the camera needs to be securely mounted and not in the hands of a pasenger. This is a safety issue. Would a DNF motivate people to stop this???

Also, registration seemed to take an unusually long time - I think because of the new Helmet rentals - can we move those to a separate time/location? Perhaps after the drivers meeting, or after registration has closed?

Personally, i'm a little pissed off for these kids to have no sense of etiquette. manners, if you will.
I knew only 1 red corolla owner. 30/STX He knew about the BBq, but not about the dumping of the coals.... he knew not to drift out there, though he and the others are mainly into drifting... ( he's out there to get aggressive seat time, though i hope he gets into the competitive side of it all) I made it clearly to him about AutoX Etiquette and what to do and not to do. How serious it is to go by the rules, etc.
He and i are both embarassed of the way the others acted . And said that the other two most likely won't come back...they aren't into the working assignments, all the rules, etc.
One of the guys actually non chalantly told me about his runs and about how he just gave up grip driving and finished the run off with drifts, and about someone running after him in the paddock. he actually left an unfinished bag of chips next to our car! Immaturity.
I'm sorry this happened, fellas.:(

Dan, your concern is certainly appreciated, but their behavior is in no way your responsibility. We all need to be responsible for ourselves and our own actions. We should not need to baby sit for things like this. They were new, so if they made a few rookie mistakes that's OK, as long as they learn from them and don't repeat them after learning the rules. As for the coals and other trash, seems like a sign of inbreeding to me.:p Or maybe their mother/sister and father/brother never taught them any better.
You might be a redneck if...
