Here's a brief synopsis of the National Convention in San Antonio that occurred last week.
1) The Board of Directors is really enthusiastic about the TT program.
2) The TT program experienced significant growth over the last year. With PDX events alone growing by 84%! Club Trials also saw significant growth as well as Track Trials, and Hill climbs even saw an increase.
3) TT and RallyCross were the only growth sectors in the club. Solo was strong but stable, and Club Racing saw a slight decline in entrants (but a rise in licenses granted).
4) Our own Gary Phillis was honored during the Club Racing luncheon for his efforts in creating the club trials program and helping develop the TT program as whole into what you see today.
5) Regions all over the country are excited about TT. And we fielded lots of question on how to get a program going and also how we (Colorado) are able to integrate Club Racing and Time Trials so well.
Lot's of potential for TT to become something really big for the club!
