Run Order and how it's decided

Just wondering how the run order is decieded on. I'm guessing # of cars and random order?

Actually Jeff, that's far from true. I put together the run order based on a number of things.
First, I receive requests from specialty chiefs who need certain classes in seperate heats (such as timing and scoring) to ensure that there are qualified workers in every heat.
Second, I take into account local factors. For instance, when running at World Arena I try to put quieter classes in the first heat because of the proximity to homes.
Third, I look at the previous run orders and try to prevent any class that ran in the first heat or the last heat in the previous event from running there again.
Fourth, I try to make the heat that X class is in a bit "heavy". Many of our chiefs (who work hard before and after the event) are in X class so often a heat with X class is short of corner workers. Adding 5 or 6 extra drivers to that heat can help.
Fifth. Make sure the heats are about the same size (except for the one with X class as I said above).

Because I have so many rules to follow I can't let the computer just randomly build the heats.
