I am the new owner of a set of pre-owned Kosei K1's and i would like to see what it would cost to get them powder coated.
I have seen a few other members on this forum with powder coated wheels, any recommended businesses/names ?
Thanks !

Thanks Ian,
i did some googling and found these guys in my backyard...
http://www.premiumpowdercoating.com/ - Longmont
and Kelly alerted me to some guys in Loveland... Northern Colorado Powdercoating.
I am located up in Longmont and work in Loveland, so i guess i am leaning towards something up North, but if the price is right (less than here + Round trip gas x2 to Denver) then i'll check them out.

If you dont feel like the drive to Denver, and N. CO powdercoating does not give you a decent quote, try Goodings Performance in Ft Collins.
On Link Lane, directly opposite the Hunt Club. Tell Randy I sent you.
One bit of advice, once the wheels are powdercoated, take a dremel tool and remove the powdercoating from the area where the wheel nut (or lug) will make contact with the wheel surface. That will prevent loose lugs.

Love to hear what this ends up costing. My race wheels are pretty rough. PC would be just the ticket for them.

I had them do a set of wheels- cleaned, powder coated, then polish the rim on a lathe. $100 a wheel. Great deal for my rare 13 x 7 Libres, but wonder if you could get something done cheaper.

I've worked with Applied Plastics in Wheatridge a few times for coating wheels.
http://www.appliedplastic.com/
The finish quality was very good, aside from being a little light on a couple wheels right near the valve stem hole, where they hung the wheel by a wire.
I did a batch of either 8 or 12 at once, and it was only $40 per wheel... including media blasting (apparently sand should not be used b/c it can actually pit the surface of an aluminum wheel).
Tip: tell them NOT to coat the insides of the wheels if you're concerned about weight. I did before and after weight checks, and a few of the wheels gained as much as 3-4 oz. in weight from the powdercoating.
