Wow, stuff travels fast on der-internet. I posted that for a friend who could not figure out FTP. Van took the video (thanks, Van!).
I absolutely knew it was on two. It was not really scary when it happened - it went up smoothly, came back down softly, but yeah, I knew it was happening - and it certainly affected my level of enthusiasm for the next right-hander;).
I've had cars on two (like that) two other times - once in the 2002 at World Arena, downhill through the crossover, the tire got stuck behind a piece of bodywork and snapped the car around, bounced on two, bam, down, that was scary. The other time was at Devens, MA, in 99 or so, big offset slalom on a crowned taxiway, got set up, left, hold the arc, right, revlimiter and shift light and wth is going on BAM! Oops. That was in a Rabbit, it wound up doing Bad Things to the transmission - I forget what exactly it was, but Kevin drove almost to Kansas City to rescue me. Transmission output bearing? Dunno; it had a rhythmic knock once warm. I wound up changing the inner CV joint on the side of the road, right next to the "don't stop for hitch-hikers" sign near Levenworth (sp?). The EP car and FSP VWs would unload the inside front enough to let the Quaife slip in slaloms, but that's not really "on two."
A very nice Kansas State Patroller illuminated my progress for a bit. I guess they're not kidding about the Bad People trolling the streets.
Anyway, yeah, the 275s generate more grip than it takes to keep that car on four wheels. In a sense, I'm glad we ran the west course in the rain/wet - the right hander after the lane change, just before the finish 180s, where Jake tried to take the short line to Impound concerned me a bit - and lots of EP cars were getting on two there.
Gotta look for binding, bottoming, Things That Cause That Stuff over the winter. It may not be a pretty car, but it is far more likely to _get_ pretty at some point if it does not turtle.

Ha. Yeah, I was filming that run and not until I was done filming it did I hear people next to me oohing and aahing about Iain getting up on 2 wheels. I hadn't noticed it while filming, I was just trying to keep him in the viewfinder. Rewound and sure enough, he was on 2 wheels.
I've never been on two wheels, and I'd be just fine if I never do.

@#$%!!! Hoosier!
Tire technology exceeded the Hotruck's center of gravity height in 2000, day one of Nationals. I haven't been able to drive the truck right since. I lowered it by using short tires, but that screwed up the gearing so much that it's just slow. Ususally on three or four wheels, but not as fast as it used to be with the 245/45 -16 Hoosiers. Grrr. Of course, then the transmission broke and it hasn't moved under its own power since :(
