Below is the forecast for Sunday, Oct. 7, as of 10:30am Friday. Obviously, it's subject to change at any moment.

It's my intent to proceed with the event unless the weather looks realllllly nasty; if it's just semi-uncomfortable, we plan to run (just like they did at Nationals on Tuesday).

Be on the alert for news re rescheduling up to Saturday evening. I'll post event status to the Announcement forum and on the General Forum NO LATER THAN 6PM on Saturday evening.

Thanks, and keep your fingers crossed. Oh, and HOW ABOUT THOSE ROCKIES!!??

Go Rockies!

I don't think I'll bring the BM car to WA if it's going to be wet and cold.....

The weather is going to be fine - I wish it were going to be cold and damp, but alas, it'll be great.

Mark my words:).

Iain

I'm holding you personally accountable if this is not the case.

Works for me!

Iain (I want a nasty, wet & cold event so we can do a little "what-if" comparison from Nationals - and as a rule, I don't get what I want, weather-wise;)

I talked to the folks at the station. It's tough to say right now, but the current thinking is that it will rain over night Saturday and be clearing sometime Sunday. It's just tough to pin down when it will move out.

Just like Nationals Tuesday. Looks like you may get your wish, Iain.

I got this forecast off the NWS site for CoSprings as of 3:05 Friday...

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, then a chance of showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 10 to 20 mph becoming northwest. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a north northeast wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 31. Northwest wind between 5 and 15 mph.

I like it better than Clays. Let go with this one!!!

Clay,
I hate to keep bailing on my responsibilities, but the Rockies are keeping me real busy right now. I won't be able to send out emails or post info to the web site Saturday night since I'll have my hands full with the game and possible late coverage. I'm hoping that Kevin Wenzel will be able to help out with any last minute notifications.
