Auugghhh! Only a week and a half till the next practice race and I still have no engine in my 280zx! Last week I pulled the working engine out to drop in a rebuilt engine. I'm starting to wonder if that was a dumb idea.
Is anyone else running out of time with car repairs or changes?

I have axles, but they are in pieces and I probably won't see the bits I need to rebuild them until after the 25th...
...oh wait a minute, I'm driving Russ's EVO.
Woohoo! Thanks Russ :D :D :D :D

I am ready for the DIA event. That will tell if we are ready to leave for the San Diego Tour and Fontana Pro.
But I'm trying to prep the 03 Mini for a Mini Challenge race in Las Vegas March 25th.
Major things still to finish
- Roll cage (actually 2 need to be shipped to customers by March 1st)
- coilover suspension, KW's are somewhere between Germany and SCR Performance (thanks Mark)
- Fire suppression system
- Seat and harness
- rear control arms, waiting on heimjoints
- brakes, waiting on the series to decide which spec tire they are going to run.
Woohoo, many RedBull fueled, late nights in the next two weeks.

Half of the wiring done, no dash, new engine with no break-in yet, new clutch, no hood, no front valance, no top, no steering rack mounting. No heat, no wipers, no lights. I did get it started last week.
No worries.
My chances are very slim.

As of today I am running out of time. Don't know if the rearend quit or what yet. I am in Charleston, the car is home. It was described as a loud clank and then something dripping from the rear end. When triple A got it home, Chase called to tell me he had good news and bad news.
The good news, "There isn't a scratch on it." ( Nothing that starts that way can be good :p )
The bad news, "I carried the driveshaft into the garage"
Anyone got a torsen rear end for a miata laying around?
