Elections for Board of Directors positions in both Continental Divide Region and Colorado Region are fast approaching.

Tom Hunsinger is running for a board position in Colorado Region, and I'm running (again) in the Continental Divide Region.

If elected Tom will be the only Soloist on the COR board.

I hope to reprise my role as Region Executive (but first I need to be elected to the board again!).

Your support (i.e. your vote) would be greatly appreciated, as both of us are hoping to be able to influence our respective region's boards to improve our respective Solo programs that together make up the greatest Solo community on the planet: RMSolo!

CDR members should have already received their mail-in ballot via snail mail. I beleive I heard that COR is doing on-line voting. (Tom, fill us in on those details, please!)

For those of you who don't know what region you are in, the region number is printed on your membership card. Continental Divide Region is #109, Colorado Region is #8. If there is no region number on your membership card, you are "unaffiliated." (i.e. you probably didn't specify a "region of record" when you sent in your membership. If you are "unaffiliated" you can claim a region of record simply by calling SCCA Headquarters (1-800-770-2055), asking for the "member services" department, and telling them which region you want to be affiliated with. They will update their database. Do this quickly, please.

I should also mention that there are two positions open on the CDR Board this election. I would like to endorse Pat Holmes' candidacy. While not an active "RMSolo-ist", he has a well rounded background, cares about the region's future, and has excellent organizational skills. His "new blood" would be a great "shot in the arm" for CDR.

Thank you, and good night . . .

FYI Colorado Region has 3 candidates running for 3 positions. So ... Tom faces an uphill battle !!! Only kidding!! Why not come to the next membership meeting in a show of great RMsolo support for Tom Hunsinger your Colorado Region Board of directors member -elect? In th meantime start working on Grant "Bones" Barclay for next year. That guy needs to be on the Board representing both TT and Solo interests.

And we all know how much stock Miatas suck at going uphill.

I second Grant's nomination and would like to add Ian Cole and David Walker to the slate. Both are dual discipline disciples and both have been at several meetings this year.

Uhhh... I think that's the first time that my name and the word discipline have ever appeared in the same sentence. :o

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Tom, but I just go to meetings for the door prizes and the beer. I'll second the motion for Ian, though. :)

Thanks for the vote of confidence Tom, but it's too late to get us on the ballot ;) Looks like it's all yours for the next 3 years :p

Not so fast Ian. Our Board has staggered terms, so three seats open each year on a nine seat board. Start campaigning now buddy!
