View Full Version : WTB: Sparco Speed or Sprint Seat....
Just wondering if anyone knows of where I can get my hands on either seat (black preferably) for cheaper than brand new pricing.
I've googled and searched several car forums. Ebay, etc.
If anyone sees something on any car specific forum or anywhere please let me know.
Basically I'm looking to buy used rather than new.
Thanks,
Van

I have a Momo Start sitting in the garage... brand new. I think I still have the box...
Bought it in the summer - but never found the time to mount it up. This season I'm back racing motorcycles - so doubtful I'll get to it anytime soon.
and I need tire $$ for the bike.
If it interests you - I'd be willing to convert it to cash for a price that's reasonably less than new/retail... (i.e. not 1/2 price...) ;)

I haven't used them, but a local place www.cp-racing.com seems to have really good pricing on new sparco seats. $220 for a Sparco Sprint.
thanks,
bruce

Interesting. I like the looks. Similar to our Sparco Speed kinda. But it seems that that particular seat may be too light for Street Touring classes. From what I've read, it is listed at 14.5 lbs. Oh well.
Thanks,
Van

I didn't think of checking them. Thanks. That's not a bad price at all and it would keep money local too. May have to give them a call soon.
Thanks,
Van

Van, I looked at cp racing to get my seats, and if I get new ones they will be my vendor. No one else can come close in price. Besides, the old hazmat truck was wesome!

You should know that only the Speed or the Sprint (I forget which) is FIA homolugated. This doesn't matter for Solo, but it certainly does for Club Racing, and I'm not sure about Trials.

being FIA homologated for club racing is a consideration, but not a requirement. If it isn't, you just have to run a seat back brace. However, FIA homologated gives me more confidence

I believe it's legal. I haven't weighed mine - but everything I've heard is that they are advertised a bit ambitiously and actually weigh in at or just above above the ST limit. I bought it for an ST2 car - and planned to add balast if it was too light.
If you think you're interested I could weigh it for you...
