Hey everyone! I'd just like to go right on ahead and post publicly that I have interest in just about *anyone's* footage from Autocross races. External, internal, forward, backward, sideways, what-not! '07 or '03, don't matter what year. If it's cool, crazy, extremely fast, remarkably smooth, or just something that your proud of - or even something you're NOT proud of! Besides, we all know that screwups and coneage are more fun to watch usually! :D But I do need some good, clean video, too. :)

In addition to whatever you are willing to offer, there is some specific footage I have or would like to acquire that I'd like to get permission to use:
-Mr. Pickles' engine blow back in 2005, event 1 (have a decent quality copy).
-Kubo's launch-footage for multiple vehicles from Coors Field (winter event at Coors Field - I would need a useable copy).
-Kubo's "Suba-Cool" footage (have copy).
-Dylan Smith's exterior video from winter event #3 (have copy)
-Al Pizzato - anything you can offer, you've got some pretty good stuff. I'd really like to get that dusty spin you had at Coors Field during the winter series '06/'07!

But seriously! Please, I'd love to get whatever I can get my hands on. My thoughts for this video pretty much are a community-based autocross music video. I think it would be a fun project - and it could create a pool of footage that could maybe be used for future projects? Just a thought.

Please post away or PM if you wish if you have anything that's useable. Likely it'd be best if I could get the footage on a CD in person, possibly at an event, but if you could make a download I could get to, that would be excellent as well! I can also download files directly from you if you have an AIM or MSN instant messanger capable of sending files.

Many thanks in advance! :)

I'm using SpinXpress2 to share/upload/download files. Here's a link to the videos: https://spinxpress2.directory.spin.outhink.com:443/servlet/CRS?PID=d75ed129b3cba698d61e3b5634f756c90a0c66d6&URI=%2Fservlet%2Fwc&space=dd8f341dd55c0a3895df040723405ace292516f3 I've included two of my videos from the same event; one of a slide recovery, and one of my goofy face :) Just be carefull, you might have to edit the voice (R).
When prompted, just click Yes, it should take you there. Does anybody have any other suggestions on how to share files privately? I use this program to share pics and vids with my family in Slovakia, but it's kind of a pain in the butt to try access at times. Also, I have to have the software running at all times along with my PC for it to work.
Btw, you have my permission to use those vids :p

Devin,
I'm compiling a DVD of all my runs starting with event #3 (I didn't want the distraction of dealing with a camera during the first two events). I've burned it to DVD+R's just to test menu functions as I go along and to watch on the big screen, in 800 watt stereo
Can you use DVD's rather that VCD's?

Kubo - Thanks, man! I got 'em! (GREAT shot of 50 SM, man. That's a keeper for damned sure!) And, by the way, is there any chance at all you could convert the SubaCool vid into a WMV or AVI file? I hate to bother you with that, but the stupid video software I'm using appears to be bloody allergic to MPEGs. :(

Al - Good luck! I look forward to whatever you manage to scrounge up. :)

Mark - Y'know, I'm really not sure... I'll have to ask Rudy about that. Probably, though! :)

Actually, I only have one run you'd be interested in. It's from Event #7 - Run #1 where I spun out on the lefthand sweeper before the slalom on the top section. It'll fit on a VCD so I can copy it to one and bring it to the event in August. I only have dial up so it would take about that long to send it to you over the WWW!!!
I'll see if can get a conversion to AVI for you. I only deal with MPEG as I never send/share anything via the WWW.
