Seriously - why the heck don't we get the Civic Type R in the US?! This is total, complete and utter pointlessness - anyone with a single bit of thought would know that that car would sell like hotcakes, lol.

Honda throws millions of dollars a year into marketing, I'm sure they know whether or not something will sell in the US. As much as I'd love a Type-R it just wouldn't sell in the US.

I disagree, it would sell! there are many sport hatches that sell very well, none of them are Hondas. Now, with the "S" almost gone, and no sport replacement, Honda is becoming, like Toyota: just and appliance (Carl Turner certified designation). That's a Pitty!

One note though, I did see the Civic Type R in Europe and I will say that it is a bit overstyled. But who cares if it delivers!

They do look pretty sweet. There was one parked in front of my Grandma's house when I went there last year. It looked sharp, I'd buy one :D
