I just wanted to say thank you to everybody that made the Time Trials happen. Also I want to say special thanks to David Jobusch for the great coaching during PDX on Saturday. Dave, I'm really happy that you've trusted me and my car the way I drove it. Your instructions were really clear and precise. I got really comfortable with you telling me when to brake and turn, even though it was hair-raising at times, but helpfull. I was able to use the knowledge I've received later during the rest of the day. As a matter of fact, I believe that by doing the Time Trials yesterday, I was able to use the experience at Coors Field today, as I started out with a lap time that turned out tough to beat by other fellow STS members :D I took third in STS (after being first for two runs) and second in Novice! Thank you.

Kubo,
thank you for coming to spend the day with us at Pueblo. It sure looked like you were having fun. :)
We were very impressed with your progress during the day, and it was cool to see a Nissan mixing it up with the other cars. You did very well for your first time on the track, and your lap times improved every session.
Glad to hear that the track driving may have helped at autocross, STS better watch out.
We hope you will join us for another event later this year, either at La Junta over Labor Day weekend, or back at Pueblo in October.
Results will be posted soon

I'd also like to thank everyone for making this happen. I had a great time and my only regret was not being able to attend both days. I expect to make some of the other events this season.
I really struggled with my driving yesterday, but as I've come to expect from our region, people were ready to help. Dave and Graeme deserve special mention, even if my driving had Dave wondering if I was ignoring him (I wasn't!). :p Hopefully I can prove it with at least one good lap next time!
I hope more solo'ers will attend these in the future. I know it can be hard to get up early and travel so far, but you will be rewarded with lots of track time. It is always worth it!

Results are posted on mylaps.com already.
We will have the results on the website within a few days. We are working on trying to get the breakdown lap by lap as well, and will post that if we can

Great job driving on Saturday Kubo. I've got that vid where you want it posted. It's a 2:03 min lap for you good time. I broke the 2 min lap on Sunday morn, with a 1:57.97 lap. The track was way faster on Sunday morning, you should of been there.
Ciao

Damn it, now I have to decide between getting my points in AX, and having fun at Time Trials  That's gonna be a hard decision. I would love to get some more high speed driving, especially if more people with similar cars would show up, but I also don't want to miss my chance for good overal placement in Solo 2... Hmmmm... But I'll definitely come to Pueblo :)

Thanks, and congrats on that great time! Yeah, I did kinda wish I'd done Sunday as well, but I was pretty excited with my placement at Coors Field too :) Oh, and you can post that video here (https://spinxpress2.directory.spin.outhink.com:443/servlet/CRS?PID=d75ed129b3cba698d61e3b5634f756c90a0c66d6&URI=%2Fservlet%2Fwc&space=dd8f341dd55c0a3895df040723405ace292516f3). Let me know if you have any problems. Thanks again.
Btw, I saw a couple of people on the sidelines with cameras in their hands. At one time I though I saw somebody with a video camera by the tower. Are there any pics/vids available?

In case it helps with deciding, keep in mind that only the points from your best 7 Solo events will count towards the season total this year (assuming the current schedule stands).
Of course the more Solo events you attend, the more practice you get, the greater your chances of having a stupendous day points-wise, etc. But you can make a trade-off and do a little of both if you want to (despite the unfortunate schedule conflicts) and still qualify for a Solo trophy so long as you attend at least 7 Solo events. It's just a matter of what's important to you.
Hope that helps.
Oh, and congrats on your great finish at Coors Field on Sunday, too! Think maybe there was still some residual heat in your tires from Saturday?

Well, thanks for making up my mind David. I'll see you all in La Junta :D See, I knew about the 7 event thing, I just wasn't quite sure how it worked. I've always wanted to do road racing, and now I'm hooked (damn it  now it's gonna get expensive :p ).
About the tires; I'm glad I've decided to drive home on them. I think I had more rubber on them after the day was over then when I've first arrived in the morning :p

Yep, that sounds about right for Pueblo. The last event I attended last year was the BMW club driving school down in Pueblo. My first auto-x this year, it felt like I was driving around on marbles! Luckily that first run scrubbed all the extra rubber off! :D

I want to thank everyone for their work and camaraderie on Sat, especially Carol, Grant, Josh, David W. and Graeme. It was great.
Hoping to get to La Junta with the rest of the family this time.
Are the results on Mylaps.com up for Sat. or just for Sun.?
Thanks,
Mark

Both days are there. You just have to do a little digging.
