Yeah, but the back wash from the fan would probably blow down every cone on course.

So, you'd need to be able to go fast enough to overcome a 6 minute penalty...:)

I think the secret is to get an oscillating fan and only use it on slaloms.

I read a funny anecdote about that car; they called it a "cooling fan" and claimed that it had no effect on anything, beyond engine refrigeration;).

One day (after a few fan blades exploded, before they figured out the right shape/material), they were idling the car in the paddock. No big deal, right?

Well, every time they revved the motor, the car squatted.

No effect on anything but cooling. Riiight.
