Hey.
Does anyone with a Civic or Integra happen to have one of the tools to remove the rear trailing arm bushing that I could borrow or rent please?
It's this tool:

I think that the same bushing was used for all Civics made between '88 and '00. Anyways, thanks ahead of time!

Have you checked with your local Autozone?

Dylan, I was just looking into this myself..
this place sells the tool for $130.
I'll rent it from you if you buy it. :)

I haven't found any shops locally that have this and rent it.
you could also take your loose trailing arms and new bushings to any shop and they could press bushings in/out for 30minutes of labor or so.
the OEM bushings are the best to use for this application, I've read. $90 on Ebay. Mugen also makes an oem-like bushing that is 120% stiffer, for $135ish. when installing them on a lowered car, you can "clock" the bushing to be neutral at that ride height (vs being twisted).

Dylans,
I just cut mine out with various cutting type tools: Hacksaw, utility knife.
Then used a 3" wire brush on an electric drill to remove all the rubber from the arm. It worked quite well. I replaced the bushing with a Hyperflex one from their master set using a press. I took a little elbow grease and sweat but I had them both replaced in a couple hours.

Hey, Dylan - I know a place that just might hook you up with a pretty darned good price for installing those, if you bring them into those guys. Give me a call if you want further info. Dunno how much they'd ask, but I'm pretty sure it'd be worth investigating. :)

Independent Honda/Acura+Toyota (Call me if you want the location - can't remember it at the moment) is willing to hook you up with a pretty decent deal: 1-1.5 hours charge for both of them if you bring in the parts out of the car, assuming that the bushings are a direct press-in fit. :)
