You may be aware of the significant amount of ongoing improvements to Pueblo Motorsports Park, necessitated by a recent "less tha stellar" track inspection by SCCA.
The track mamagement has done a great job so far of getting the improvements completed so the track wil be available for the 2006 road race season.
They've asked for some assistance in putting in some required fencing and finishing up some corner station repair. Even though we Soloists don't use the site, it has become the primary venue for road racers throughout the Rocky Mountain Division, since the demise of SCR and PPIR. I though some of you might like to take advantage of an opportunity to help out our road racing counterparts and fellow club members (and get a more or less free lunch!), thus the announcement.
I've tentatively scheduled a work party for February 11 and 12 (Sunday will be contingent on the amount of progress we make on Saturday). The goal will be to set fence posts, do some shovel work around the new corner stations and haul out the tires from the old ones.
Bring shovels, rakes and post hole diggers if you've got them.
There will be 2 shifts (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, and 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM).
Lunch will be provided by the Continental Divide Region during the overlap. Please bring your own favorite liquid refreshment.
