Hey guys. A friend of mine is trying to get registered for the race on the 25th and he's having problems finding a number that isn't taken. Something is messed up with the system because I've run into this problem several times when trying to sign people up for the first time. If you go to the master list of reserved there are a ton of numbers that are not reserved but when you try to register one to a car it always comes back saying that the number is already reserved. It's really irritating. He finally got a number that isn't reserved but it was #13 STS. Only problem with that is Scott Abshire is #113 and obviously this won't work very well if Scott has a co-driver. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Directly underneath th "myRMSOLO" header on the registrtion page is a link that says. "Problems with the MyRMSolo system? Email the administrator for support." (Yeah, it's kinda small) That link takes you directly to the guys (Kevin Wenzel/ Dale Kirstein) who can fix your problem.

There are two problems here - one is that there are a ton of reserved numbers (particularly in ST* and SM* classes) that were reserved, but never used at an event. I've gone through and freed up all STS numbers that have not been used in the past year, so have your friend look again - there are quite a few available numbers now. The second problem is that whenever someone reserves any number, the other paired number is also reserved for their use (with a co-driver). So, although it will appear that lots of numbers above 100 are available, most of those already have their 2-digit number reserved and are thus not available except to co-drivers of the driver who reserved the 2-digit version.
