I'm installing aftermarket shocks on my Elise.

I need some help though. I cannot find a spring compressor that is small enough to get on the springs to remove them. Does anybody have a small spring compressor with small 'fingers', or maybe know a motorcycle shop that could do this for me?

I live north of Castle Rock.

Thanks in advance

Jeff,
I haven't personally used these but the miata community seems to think highly of them.
And they come from the second most used speed shop behind home depot,
HARBOR FREIGHT!

I've got a set of these;

Once you get the shocks off, they can usually get ahold of the springs from around the outside.

AutoZone will also loan spring compressors for free, I think.

I have one like the ones pictured from Harbor Freight. I've used it on Subarus, Preludes, and Miatas.

You're very welcome to borrow it (free). I'm in Boulder. Of course, if you come here, you could probably use a very nice one that The Tire Source has.

Please let me know if I can help.
Geremy

I found some locally... and the new shocks are now installed!
