That's a slightly smaller ID than a standard coil over isn't it?

Depends on your definition of "standard".
90% of "real race cars use" this size, except the newer 2.0" ones on some of the newer Van Diemens. Larger, production-based cars tend to use 2.5", although some smaller cars do seem to use 2.25" ID - Miatas, apparently, since Bill Lamkin bought 2 sets of my heavier weight springs from me.
My DSM used 2.5" ID, and it looks like the C5 would have as well.
