I hope this means they are coming out with a new model and not just abandoning the R tire program. Competition makes the tires better and cheaper. So to me, the more R tire makers in game, the better for us. The current Tech R is a good track day tire, but is a bit too hard for AX to be competitive with Hoosier and Kumho.

I thought it's been out for awhile already. When I bought my Tech Rs last summer it seemed the very next month Avon announced the release of the RAs (figures)...
